Subject: HB 26~~EXTRA LIGHTS ON OUR BIKES~~NEW INFO

When I found out this bill had a 12-8 vote on the floor, I needed more info.
Saw where Del. Oder (NN) voted against this bill so wrote him yesterday.
This was his reply. So for now, we are all good with our lights.

Karrin, this bill was severely flawed and would give riders the mistaken
assumption they could put on additional lights however another code section
would subject riders to fines. I just had the bill re-referred to the
House Transportation Committee. Since the committee is not meeting again
until after crossover, the bill will die. As you probably know bills have
to cross to the opposite house by crossover which is tuesday or they die.

Thank you for your support of my action on this bill and on the helmet
bill. It really does mean a lot.

Glenn

Del Oder:

I read on the internet that this bill went to the sub-committee and vote
was 12-8. Has it gone to the floor yet or whatever it is called to be
passed into law. I'm glad you voted against it.

Please let me know or when I can check info again. Thanks. Just glad the
Helmet bill didn't pass.

I really don't understand her logic. I seriously wonder if she does.

Unfortunately, it's IDIOTS like her and her drones that don't worry or think about motorcyclists KILLED by automobile drivers that "CLAIM" they didn't see the motorcycle, until one of their own is killed by said scenario. It'll be too late then (you idiot) and you can take comfort all the way to hell knowing that you took part in halting motorcycle visibility, which is almost always the excuse given for killing a biker.

I'll bet the bitch leaves her bike in the garage, drives her SUV to town and walks around wearing her big bad wanna be a biker "Goldwing" patch with an attitude and a look like she's got shit under her nose.

As for the majority of Virginia's Delegates....I DO NOT believe they have my best interest in mind when legislating safety issues for motorcyclists. It's a sad state of affairs when our legislators deliberately disregard bills put forth to keep US safe in Virginia.

Preach on Sister, I'm in your camp. We have a bill that will make us visible out there on the road and people like her want to shut us down. At the same time she probably likes the helmet law. Go figure. Something that will help safety she hates and something that does nothing for safety she loves. Blacksmith was wearing a helmet when he was murdered on the highway.

I'd like to put a whole lot of low voltage, low intensity lights on a helmet an shove it up her ass!
